If you are incapacitated, it is possible for another person… usually a spouse, friend or relative… to make decisions for you, regarding your personal care. Your attorney for personal care is appointed by you, in advance of any incapacity or incompetence, and is someone you trust to act in your best interests to make binding decisions for you.
